Dancing Shoes for Harvest Gala

Dancing Shoes for Harvest Gala

Get out your dancing shoes for Harvest Gala, a benefit event for Temple Israel of Greater Kansas City on Sunday, October 30, at Camelot Ballroom, 6635 W. 151st Street, Overland Park.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. for a cash bar and a silent auction. A sumptuous dinner buffet begins at 6 p.m. followed by dancing to the music of the Abel Ramirez Big Band from 6:30-9:30 p.m. What to wear? Cocktail apparel – a coat and tie for men – are recommended. (And the dancing, while fun, isn’t mandatory!)

Tickets are $50 per person, of which $30 is tax deductible TI board member Romeo Bagunu, an instructor at Camelot, will offer a five-week “basics” course before the dance for $50 per couple.

Send your check (with “Harvest Gala” and number of tickets in the comments line) to TI Treasurer Laura Mintskovsky at 7201 Mullen Road, Shawnee KS 66216. If you’re placing your order after Monday, October 17, contact TI board member Romeo Bagunu, Gala chairman and an instructor at Camelot Ballroom, to let him know you plan to be there. You can reach him at 816-679-0032 or jbagunu@aol.com.

Romeo also has offered beginner/refresher dance lessons to TI couples for $50 on Tuesday evenings before the Gala. Again, contact Romeo if you’re interested.
