Dr. Jon Scheinman retired as Professor of Pediatrics, Nephrology, with over 100 publications. Practiced Locum Tenens all over the country for 3 years, then settled into current part-time Telemedicine for the past 10 years.
Met Rabbi Jacques at his previous Temple, and only joined several years after Temple Israel was founded, with its vibrant atmosphere. He apprenticed as general gadfly, Secretary, "webmaster" and factotem, before assuming the exalted (default) position as President in 2020 in the midst of the Pandemic. He has organized Adult Education, Eats voraciously at all events, and begs all for participation in anything. Tyrannically rules Board Meetings. He dreams of singing in the Choir. He offers gratuitous medical and political advice on anything. Practices tennis, Yoga, Tai Chi, all poorly. Every day I ask myself what I have done to make the world a better place".
