Our Community
We encourage participation from all who seek a connection to Jewish life and want to be part of our sacred community regardless of religious background, race, ethnicity, gender, socioeconomic status, ability, age, sexual orientation and gender identity.

Temple Israel is the newest Reform Jewish congregation in Kansas City, founded in 2011. We are an engaging community that is tolerant & international. Our congregation includes both Jewish and interfaith families and we welcome new members. If you’re new to Kansas City, or simply seeking a warm and inclusive Reform congregation, we encourage you to contact us or visit us during Shabbat services on Friday night.

Whether you come to Judaism by birth, conversion or marriage, Temple Israel is here to help you make Judaism a more important part of your life — in whatever ways suit your interests, means, lifestyles and beliefs.

Each member may work closely with the Rabbi and other congregants to design an individualized program to meet his or her needs. You may join as a family or as an individual. Learn more about the membership options in the form.
